Membership
Founded in 1985, the Jewish Genealogical Society of Michigan provides members with the opportunity to be associated with others who share a common interest in Jewish Genealogy. Our meetings are a forum to exchange information, to share resources and experiences and to learn new techniques for research.
We are a member of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies (IAJGS) and encourages submissions to the Jewish Family Finder and the computerized Family Tree of the Jewish People. These databases, readily available on the Internet, have provided the link for many people from around the world to find lost and/or previously unknown relatives. Our library affords members a fine selection of books and other media on genealogical subjects. Periodicals, microfiche and newsletters from other societies and groups from around the world are also available.
